This is a short film I made with my friends Aaron Palermo, Mark Sum, and Steve Kerr. Essentially Aaron was supposedly going back to the US and I said, well, let's make that film with you before you leave! In a mad rush I wrote a script and shot the piece despite rain, heat, clashing schedules and unco-operative noisy villagers. I think it manages to be reasonably coherent. It's about a cannibalistic landlord and his dodgy tenant and satirizes Hong Kong's wayward ways of advertising property. Broadcast Drive by the way, is where the TV and Radio studios are in Kowloon and is about as far north as most Hong Kongers care to venture. As you can see, up where I live, we are in a somewhat different country from the high rise hi-tec Hong Kong of the tourist board.
