I spent a day last week shooting the final touches to my latest short film JOGGERS! Which meant a day shooting a few absurd straight to camera moments from Helen Louise Norton, who plays "Cat", the personal trainer from hell.
As you can see, one might well be motivated to sign up for her fitness course. Her methods are, however, let us say, controversial. You'll have to see the film to appreciate the meaning of that. And one day you will. For reasons that escape me I seem to be taking ages on the post-production. Other things keep getting in the way. But I hope to have this thing off to the festivals and a trailer on the site by July!
Helen's energy, as you might guess, is impressive. She is uncomplaining, funny, hard working and untiring and while I spend a day or two to recuperate after a day's filming, she just goes off and massages a horse, whips a few novice riders into shape, and then runs around appearing in other film shoots. I am surprised that she lives with a bunch of cats. I warn her that women living with cats go crazy but so far she hasn't taken my advice and donated them to "CatsForCrazyWomen.Com"
I do seem to find myself surrounded by very beautiful and witty women. And of course I am married to one of them, so obviously I understand the restorative powers they have. Thus I think the world needs to see more of them. The world may be falling apart because of global warming, economic collapse, and extra-terrestrial anal probes, but I am sure that the likes of Ms. Norton can save it. So watch out for her. She's a great actress, very funny, and I think she'll attract quite a bit of attention.
